Borderlands Horse Sanctuary is run completely by volunteers and is always in need of dedicated volunteers for a wide range of tasks (both hands-on and online).
Basic hands-on volunteering includes feeding and watering along with cleaning stalls and pens. Once you’ve volunteered for awhile, you’ll progress to grooming and hand walking horses for exercise. Online volunteering includes a wide range of tasks that best fits your abilities.
The horses at Borderlands are nonrideable. Volunteer hours do not add up to riding time.
Volunteers must be 18 years old or accompanied by an adult.
