Even as a young child, I knew there was a need for horse rescue. Once we started rescuing, we realized there was an even bigger need to protect the old horse, the horse who had worked his entire life and had no safety net when they could no longer perform at their owner’s expectations.
We can only hope that some day our job as a rescue and retirement home will become obsolete. Until then, we will continue to provide a dignified retirement to old horses who have worked their entire lives and now need a soft place to call home in their twilight years.
